An Actor's Notebook: A Conversation with Caroline Munro
January 16th, is my friend Caroline Munro's birthday!
Caroline has appeared in many films over the years, including favorites like The Spy Who Loved Me (1977, as Naomi), Captain Kronos-Vampire Hunter (1974, as Carla), The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974, as Margiana), Maniac (1980, as Anna) and Absence of Light (2006, as Abbey). She'll be starring with me, later this year, in The Madness of Frankenstein.
To celebrate the occasion, the first entry in a new feature on the Redfield Arts website, called AN ACTOR'S NOTEBOOK, is dedicated to an interview I did with Caroline last year. AN ACTOR'S NOTEBOOK is a new weekly feature that will move between essays about acting and related topics, to interviews with actor friends about their careers and the art and craft of acting -- and all things inbetween. I'll also have some guest actors sharing some pieces about their experiences as well.
Check out A CONVERSATION WITH CARLOLINE MUNRO at www.redfieldarts.com and let me know what you think!
Next week: THE TWO-FACED ACTOR, an essay that marks the anniversary of the first review of Robert Louis Stevenson's DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE in 1886, and discusses the actor's fascination with duality, and the dual nature of an actor's life and work.
Hope you like the interview!
-Mark
